So I guess the question is whether changing the exploding aircraft from a North Korean one (the original) to an American one (the artwork) is a meaningful change intended to comment on how the harsh reality of war’s true inhumanity means that when we kill the other we also kill ourselves or whether Lichtenstein just screwed up and painted the wrong damn plane.Report
Perhaps (perhaps!) the simple possibility that he did carelessly srew it up makes the first interpretation all the more potent.Report
