I watched the whole thing, from the beginning of the fourth quarter all the way to the end. Helluva finish — I knew it wasn’t over after the 49er TD with over two minutes left, but I thought it was over after the Saints’ TD.Report
Alex deserves super props. Joe Montana couldn’t have done it better.Report
Yeah, he was crazy accurate those last two drives. Whatever else you might say about him, you gotta hand it to him for nailing it when it counted. (generic “you”, of course — I don’t know what else you personally might say about him)Report
I was only able to catch the last five minutes, but there was two or three games’ worth of excitement in that time.Report
Great game. I question the Saints’ preparedness. Lots of sloppiness and why go to a straight zone on that last play? Ugh. 49ers did what they had to and came ready to play and play hard. A credit both to Harbaugh and the players, partciularly the D. I haven’t seen a D hit that hard since early 2000 Ravens teams. As an Eagles team, it was equal parts frustrating and refreshing to watch a competent LB corps.Report
Oh my goodness.
The New York Giants beat Green Bay. I am now sick with hope.
Superbowl! Number Six! It can happen!Report
That was really ugly on two sides of the ball: Packers’, and refs’.Report
Gah. Not sure who to root for from here on out.Report
