      I had been away from film for about 10 years when the above what shot, and what struck me about shooting film vs video is that it’s akin to shooting 35mm vs. large format. You don’t shoot as much, but you think harder/better about what you do shoot, and what  you do shoot gets rendered with a lushness (and thoughtfulness) the lessor format can’t match. That’s not to say you can’t be thoughtful with a 35mm still camera or a videocamera, but the tool does not insist on thoughtfulness.Report
