No love for French electronic music?Report

I guess I have to be in the right mood for it. Much of it strikes me as music to zone out or make babies to. If I’m chilling out at home, I will listen to Air and it tends to make me happy. So, please- recommend some good French electronica and I will check it out on iTunes.

Maybe I was thinking of three-chords-and-a-sneer sort of music. The thing is I’m a record collector who has a ton of rock music and, as far as I can tell the French lack the rocking-out gene. Sure there’s Johnny Hallyday, but I think his music and his popularity prove my theory instead of contradicting it.Report

I may have to post some MC Solaar later. And how do we know that “juke-box” is masculine?Report

I actually went and looked it up in my Petit Robert dictionary. I’d heard before that it was basically just the English word with a hyphen and was amused to find that to be true. They do that a lot with modern English words, as Sarkozy, popularly known as “president bling-bling” can attest.Report
