    I used to watch him occasionally. What a trip. There he’d be, going along selling his prayer hankies, and then, bam…his eyes would roll up, he’d (appraently) go blank for a moment, then start babbling. The landings were even better…Report

    I don’t know that Werner Herzog has ever made a documentary that I didn’t find totally compelling, but this is true as well of “God’s Angry Man”, about television preacher Dr Gene Scott, which starts here:

    It might take some getting used to the tone- Herzog is fascinated with one type of obsessed individual in particular, all of whom resemble Herzog himself in some sense. So I don’t take the documentary as any sort of parody.Report
