I’m not terribly fond of fixed-width presentation, but I recognize its value when it’s done properly. I like the non-archived but summarized posts at the bottom of the page, and I’m glad you kept both sidebars (which is weird, since I usually abhor sidebars).

Don’t know who on the League is responsible for the presentation/back-end decision making, but I approve of the current iteration of the results.Report

  2. I generally like the new site and layout a lot, but I’m not so down with the “archives” section with just the first few sentences of whatever of the posts from yesterday below the posts from today. I “only” get the chance to check the site out once every couple of days, so I find myself clicking on a lot of links to catch up. I would prefer a few days at least or even a week of excerpted or full entries and then either the interviews section to return or else otherwise be easy to find; i.e. be a category in itself. The wideness is great actually. I have normal vision, so I appreciate not having to move my thumbs all the time when I’m using my iPhone, and I appreciate not having to go searching for new batteries for my wireless mouse so I can read the rest of a particular article.Report

It sure does smell alluring…or maybe that’s my wife’s cooking. Either way, a successful design.Report

    It’s a transparent change.

I know that we used to have a different design… but for the life of me, this feels like the old one.

Only with some improvements that I can’t put my finger on.

    Well done.Report
