Rufus is a likeable curmudgeon. He has a PhD in History, sang for a decade in a punk band, and recently moved to NYC after nearly two decades in Canada. He wrote the book "The Paris Bureau" from Dio Press (2021).

    • @Mike at The Big Stick, I remember watching a news documentary about the Westboro Baptist Church when I was in France and thinking to myself that I’ve probably seen more news reports about the Westboro Baptist Church than there are members of that church! I think the comic book kids have the right idea about whether to take them seriously or not.Report

    I enjoyed Lindsay Ellis’s little video report on it. Kinda agreed that they’re hardly even worth counter-protesting (she says there were only four people actually from Westboro), but that it’s a lot of fun anyway.
