Well, that would certainly save me some money. We’re thinking about canceling our cable altogether, but my wife can’t stand the idea of not seeing Glee when it airs.Report

Hmm yes well in order to follow your (quite possibly good) advice the powers that be would have to choose the integrity of their art over lucre. What odds do we think there are of that happening?Report

This is true of countless shows. “Will & Grace” started out charmingly enough, and then degenerated rather quickly into a minstrel show. Too often, the writers take what makes the show charming and then crank up the volume, turning quirks into pathologies.

That being said, I hope you’re simply wrong, and they have at least two good seasons. (Also, I thought the ending of “Dollhouse” was a hot mess, in which they tried to cram TOO MUCH into the waning episodes.)Report

What kind of high school did you go to? Winning the show choir state championship does not make you popular. Au contraire. You’re still a geek, you’re just a geek with your picture in the paper.Report

  5. I think in the series they are all sophmores. I am assuming in the next competition they will lose to the dreaded ‘Vocal Adrenaline’ team they are always talking about, thus creating something to look forward to in future seasons. If they have them win – well, this show may have peaked way too soon.Report
