    The greatest montage (can’t call it a scene) ever filmed is the third-from-ultimate part of the Godfather, in which Michael stands for baptism of Connie’s child while having the heads of the five families assassinated.

    Me, I’ll take Renoir’s Grand Illusion Marseillaise scene, which came a few years earlier than Casablanca (perhaps Casablanca ripped it off — they’re set up quite similarly).
