Good sermon. When are you speaking next? I’m not a church goer any longer but I’d make an exception to see one of the Gents.Report

    Casc,

I’m on for a United Church sometime in early May in Kitsilano. I’ll let you know if you’re interested.

    Bob,

Not so much–but I think you can hear it in the audio, I got like a near standing ovation. Really odd.

Though the first time I was ever drunk though was as a 11 year old having to finish off the altar wine after being the altar server. I get in the car for my dad to drive me home and I’m trying not to giggle (or puke) to give it away. To this day I’m a beer man. I drink some wine at mass and that’s it. I’m a weakling when it comes to wine–it just destroys my stomach, I don’t know what it is.Report

Chris, that story probably rings true for many. My alter boy days were similar. There was never enough leftover wine to get tipsy but it was always a sneaky treat to drink what little there was.Report
